Lanie was born in 1924. She was the daughter of John Duncan and Linda Harness. She passed away in 2014.

Lanie Phillips, age 90, of Oliver Springs, passed away at her residence Tuesday, June 10, 2014. She was born in Anderson County, Tennessee on July 18, 1923 to the late John R. Duncan and Linda Duncan Harness. She was of the Baptist Faith. Lanie enjoyed flowers, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Lanie is preceded in death by Husband James Phillips, daughter Abbie Gail Phillips, grandson Jordan Phillips, and brother Aaron Duncan.
