Emaline "Emma" Duncan, daughter of Thomas Jefferson Duncan and Susan (Kirkpatrick) Duncan, was born about 1854 in Tennessee. She appeared on the census of 19 July 1870 in the home of her parents at Green, Hickory, Missouri. Her future husband and his family were listed close to them.[1]
She married Alexander B. Samples, son of William Samples and Martha C. (Bowers) Samples, on 27 Feb, 1873 at Hickory, Missouri.[2]
She and Alexander appeared on the census of 4 June 1880 at Green, Hickory, Missouri.[3]
Emaline died in 1921 and was buried at Mount View Cemetery, Polk, Polk County, Missouri. Her memorial has a photo of her headstone shared with Alexander and links to those of family members.[4]
