"MRS. ROBERT JOHNSON" Glen Innes Examiner (NSW: 1908 - 1954) 23 July 1923: [1]
MRS. ROBERT JOHNSON
After a week in hospital suffering from complications arising from influenza, Mrs. Margaret Johnson passed away at an early hour on Saturday morning. For some time she had been in indifferent health, and was consequently unable to fight successfully against the malady, when it overtook her.
The late Mrs. Johnson was a daughter of Mrs. Robert Duncan, of "Sunnyside", and was 50 years of age. She earned the respect and the esteem of all who were fortunate enough to know her, by reason of her neighbourly qualities and her kindly sympathetic nature.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Robert Johnson and a family of five— Messrs. Robert C. H., A. M, Alexander, (Tweed River) and William Johnson, and Miss Sarah Johnson, of Sydney— for whom the utmost sympathy will be felt.
The body was interred in the Glen Innes cemetery on Sunday afternoon. The cortege, which was a very large one, included the members of the Glen Innes Silver Band, who attended out or respect to Mr. R. C. H. Johnson one of their number. Rev. G. Knox Read read the service at the graveside, and Mr. H. A. Tott supervised the interment. ,br />
