Estate of Henry (1708-1713) and Dorothy (1713) Duncan - HENRY DUNKAN's Will proved The Last Will and Testament of HENRY DUNKAN, deced. was presented in Court by his Relict and Executrix, DOROTHY DUNKAN, whoe made Oath thereto and being proved by the Oath of THOMAS SORRELL, one of the wittnesses to the same, is admitted to Record, and upon motion of DOROTHY DUNKAN and her performing what is usuall in such cases, Certifycate is granted her for obtaining a Probat thereof in due form; and it is ordered that she return a true full and perfect Inventory of the Testator's Estate to the next Court upon Oath. It is also ordered that JOHN JENKINS, JOHN MOON, DANIEL OCCANY, SAMUELL RUST and JOHN AWBREY or any four of them being first sworn before one of her Majties Justices of the Peace for this County doe some tyme before

VA, for love and affection of Sarah Dunkan Ann Dunkan and Blanchflower Dunkan son and daughters of said Dorothy; to William McClanahan, . . . .she had left her by her late husband Henry Dunkan in his last will and testament, for the purposes: for the use of said Dorothy Dunkan for, until and during such time as the said Sarah Dunkan, Ann Dunkan and Blanchflower Dunkan shall attain to their several ages of 18 years or marry if sd. Dorothy is living, then to the use of sd. William McClanahan til they are of age or marry; then part given to each child. /s/ Dorothy Dunkan mark. Wit. Thos. Sorrell, Frances Dunkan. World Connect] Early Colonial Settlers of Southern Maryland and Virginia's Northern Neck Counties Dorothy (b. about / BEF 1683), parents unknown -- much conflict regarding parents:

Presumed daughter of either Benjamin Blanchflower b: ABT 1630 and Temperance Gerard b: 1630 in Ashton Manor, Lancashire, or

Nicholas MOONEY and Unknown - (1) m. She married Thomas TOWERS before 1680 (2 daughters, Ann b 1681 and Sarah (M WILLIAMS) b abt1684). Thomas TOWERS died abt 1685. (2) m. Thomas Macclanahan - had son William (3) m. 3rd Henry Duncan - had Blanchflower, Ann and Sarah (4) m. 4th John Watters (exec of his will- no children) Dorothy died in 1717 and mentions (all DUNKIN and McCLANAHAN and one TOWERS) children in will.
