Census

1900 Census Joe (William J. Duncan) was living with his spouse, Mary M., and seven children in Antioch, De Roche and Prairie Bayou Townships, Hot Spring, Arkansas. He was 48 and was born in Missouri and Mary was 47 and born in Arkansas as were all of his children. The children were:

Sampson B. age 20;

Ollie A. age 16;

James M. age 14,

Walter W. R. age 11;

Etta age 9;

Jethro A. age 7; and

Kirke A. age 1.

Note: George, Ezekial, and Wiley were not listed. They were the oldest and had already left home. The record also shows that his father was born in Missouri and his mother was born in Arkansas.^[2]

1920 Census. Walter was living with his spouse, Carry, and two sons in De Roche, Hot Spring, Arkansas. Walter was 29 and Carrie was 24. Allen was age 7 and Olen was age 2.^[3]

1930 Census. Walter R. was living with his spouse, Carrie B., in Forrest City, St. Francis, Arkansas. He was 40 and Carrie was 34. They were all born in Arkansas. There were five children in the household::

Katie M., age 10

Geneva T., age 6; and

1940 Census. Walter was living with his spouse, Carrie, in Montgomery Township, Hot Spring, Arkansas. He was 50 and Carrie was 44. There were five children living in the house. They were all born in Arkansas.:
