Research Notes
Nathaniel and Daniel Discrepancies
Nathaniel and Daniel (sons of David and Elizabeth) both had sons named "Nathaniel (aka Nathan aka Nathanel, etc.)
There is a good deal of controversy regarding which Nathaniel married Jane Rainey Nov. 6 1782 Caswell Co NC[1]
--- could be the son of either;
--- or, both Nathaniel's could have married Rainey's - and marriages were unrecorded.
Rainey's appear in Will records and North HIco Land Records (This Nath. (for sure in NC) and then to Henderson KY and possibly GA per wills)
(Nathan/Nathaniel) son of Nathaniel & Rainey - m. 1st Elizabeth Humphreys Sep 5 1818; m. 2nd Martha Tyre March 2 1827) (See DSA Oct 97 5#4) [[(Lucy Duncan, dau of Unk m. Joel Stanley Mar 13 1824) Stanley Research]]
Nathaniel (1765 - 1833) (m. Keziah)(son of Nathaniel & Agnes)- May have been in NC; most likely remained in the (N/S) Carolinas; and the son of Mary Church -- presumably went to Henderson KY (as most Nathaniel land records seem to involve "Mary"); and may have gone to GA.

taken on a life of its own. If you have other reasons to believe that they are the same, please let me know.
