Notes

  • William Sr is mentioned in the Wade, Oklahoma Memory & History Book, published by the Wade Reunion Committee in 2004. This book states that William and his wife Sidney are buried at the old Dunegan Family Cemetery in Stella, Newton, Missouri. This statement is unlikely. No headstones have been located and wife Sidney is in the 1870 and 1880 Texas Census reports with their children. This book may be available in a local library near what was once Wade, Oklahoma. No source citation exists for this book at this time and it still under Copy write for 2017.

The "Wade Oklahoma Memory and History Book" can be purchased from the Bryan County Genealogy Library - Organization Website:

www.bryancountygenealogylibrary.org. It is mostly information gathered from local residents who grew up in Wade and, while there are many inaccuracies, it is an invaluable resource for those researching families in that area. Clark Vinson
