Biography

John Dunford was born in 1790 (field above says 1778) in Waterford, Ireland, the son of James Dunford and Margaret Walsh.^{[citation needed]}

He moved to Liverpool, England where he married about 1811, probably at St Mary's Church, Martha (Unknown), born 1790 in Liverpool.^[1]

Before marraige to Martha, John a carter by trade bought the property large house with stables and land from a Mr Ryan the property was called ryans place. 20 Naylor Street Liverpool. He stayed at this address untill he died but bought another house for his family 3 Titchfield Street Liverpool to be close to the schools where they taught the children to read and have a trade. Church schools. With this we still have two problems Martha's single name and John and Martha's marraige date told in their bible 1811.
