Biography

William Dunkerley was born in 1841 in Newton Heath, Lancashire, England, United Kingdom. His parents were Thomas Dunkerley, a pawnbroker, and Mary Hulton. He was christened on 25 Apr 1841 at All Saints, Newton, Lancashire, England. [1]

The 1871 census records his occupation as "Pawnbroker". According to other information he was also a second-hand dealer at 100 George Leigh Street, Manchester.

On 3 April 1872 he married Emma Scholes in Manchester, Lancashire, England. [2] Together they had 3 children before he died.

William Dunkerley died on January 10th, 1878 at Milton Villa, Heaton Chapel in Lancashire, England, United Kingdom at the age of 36 years; according to his death certificate, of typhus fever. He was laid to rest at Manchester General Cemetery in Manchester. [3]

His estate was left to his wife Emma.
