Biography

Benjamin Martin Dunin was born on November 23, 1820, in Franklin County, Indiana.^[1] He was the son of Peter Dunkin and Polly Martin.

He married Susan Payton on August 24, 1848 in Cass county, Indiana.^[2] They had one Child.

1. William Henry Dunkin (1849-1936)
2. Sylvenus Dunkin (1851-1937)

Benjamin was a farmer. He had a farm in Deer Creek Twp., Cass County, Indiana in 1850 with the real Estate value of $1,000. His wife Susan and son William 8 months old were in the home along with a Lewis Blosser, a farm Laborer.^[3]

His wife Susan passed away on April 24, 1851 in Carroll County, Indiana.

He married Jane Rhine on July 5, 1856, in Cass County Indiana. Ned Hamilton officiated the service.^[4] They had 6 children.

He died on August 12, 1895, at age 74, in Cass county, Indiana, and was buried in the Young America Cemetery in Young America, Cass County, Indiana.^[1]
