Benjamin Martin Dunin was born on November 23, 1820, in Franklin County, Indiana.[1] He was the son of Peter Dunkin and Polly Martin.
He married Susan Payton on August 24, 1848 in Cass county, Indiana.[2] They had one Child.
Benjamin was a farmer. He had a farm in Deer Creek Twp., Cass County, Indiana in 1850 with the real Estate value of $1,000. His wife Susan and son William 8 months old were in the home along with a Lewis Blosser, a farm Laborer.[3]
His wife Susan passed away on April 24, 1851 in Carroll County, Indiana.
He married Jane Rhine on July 5, 1856, in Cass County Indiana. Ned Hamilton officiated the service.[4] They had 6 children.
They mace their home in Deer Creek, Cass County, Indiana. They were on their farm in 1860 with his son William now 10, Sylvaenus-9 and their children, Elizabeth-3 and Mary E age 1.[5] They were on their farm in Deer Creek Twp., Cass County Indiana in 1870 where they had 7 of the children were in the home.[6] Ida was just a year old.
He died on August 12, 1895, at age 74, in Cass county, Indiana, and was buried in the Young America Cemetery in Young America, Cass County, Indiana.[1]
