Lydia Dunkin was born in 1826[1] in Union County, Indina to Richard Dunkihn and Lydia Wilson. Her parents had moved from Ohio to Union Indiana in 1824 where they had cleared the woods and built a log house for the family. She had 8 sibblings.
On Septermber 20, 1850, Fred at age 28 and Lydia, age 26, were living with his father, Frederick Landers Sr.-73, and family on his farm in Carrollton, Carroll County, Indian, where fred was Farming.[5][6]
In 1860 they were on their Farm in Carrolton, Carroll, Indian, with Florida-9, Orlando-5, and James-5 months old.[3][7]
By 1880 they had moved on to a farm on Deer Creek, Miami, Indiana, where by then they had Orlando J-24, James A-20, and adopted daughters, Lonelin-9 and Anna E-4 in the household.[4][8]
They moved from Indiana sometime after 1880.
Her husband Frederick passed away in 1895 at the age of 73. They had been married 49 years. He was buried in the Winn View Cemetery, in Blaine County, Oklahoma.[9]
Widowed she was living with her son Orlando and family in 1900, in Cedar Valley, Blaine County, Oklayoua Territory.[10] She was age 74 at the time.
Lyda died in 1909 in Blaine County, Oklahoma at the age of 82, and was buried in the Winn View Cemetery.[1]
