Biography

George Dunkin was born February 22, 1832 in Delaware County, Indiana.[1] He was the son of William Dunkin and Hannah Smith. He was age 18, working as a Farmer, in his parents home in Liberty Township, Delaware, Indiana in 1850 along with his sister Elmira-23, brother's, Aaron-22 and twin brother William-18.[2]

George and William Dunkin, Jr. were twins born February 22, 1832. When they were young men, George was engaged to be married to Elizebeth Clevenger, but died shortly before their wedding. Elizebeth married William Dunkin, Jr. after George died. Their oldest son was George Morgan Dunkin, named after the brother who died.[3]

He died October 3, 1854 in Delaware County, Indiana at the age of 22,and was buried in the Mount Tabor Cemetery, Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana.[1]
