Janie (Dunlap) Brewer is a part of US Black heritage.
Janie was born in 1897 Moses Dunlap and Flora Tillman By 1900, her mother was listed as a widow. [1] Janie married Fred Brewer in 1921, and they had two children. She passed away in 1949.[2]
Janie's son, Fred Lorenzo Brewer, Jr was a Tuskegee airman who went missing in action during World War II. He continues to be listed as Missing in Action with his name inscribed upon the Tablets of the Missing in Florence American Cemetery. There is an ongoing investigation regarding his possible identity as an unknown who was buried in an American Military Cemetery overseas.
