William D. Dunlap was born on November 8, 1822 in Laurens, Laurens, South Carolina, United States, son of John Dunlap (1795–1833) and Mary Boswell Gordon (1797–1886).
In the 1850 census Wm (age 27), Physician, was in Western Division, Choctaw, Mississippi, United States.[1]
In 1860, William was living in Township 20, Choctaw. [2]
William died on August 25, 1865 in Mississippi, aged 42.[3]
