Biography
James (Dunlop) Dunlop VIth of that Ilk is a member of Clan Dunlop.
James (Dunlop) Dunlop VIth of that Ilk was born in Scotland.
James was the son of Alexander Dunlop, 5th of that Ilk and Helen Cunningham.[1]
He was named in a willful error in assise dated 31 Jan 1576/77.[2]
He was on the jury for the slaughter of James GIffert by Archibald Wauchop of Nudir 13 May 1588.[3]
He married Isobel, daughter of Gavin Hamilton of Orbieston..[1] They had issue:
James died around 1596 with his will recorded before 23 Feb 1601 when his inventory was confirmed in the Edinburgh Commissary Court.[4][5]
