Mary was born on 12 May 1838 in Bracken County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Andrew Dunn born 1813–1871
She married first Owen Thomas Merry born 1829–1875, on 13 Apr 1854 in Effingham, Illinois [1]They had the following children ,
