I have lived my whole life in North Carolina and only ever known my father's immediate family. Most of the individuals from his side were from North Carolina or Virginia but have since passed. My mom was born in Seattle, Washington. Her father died when she was very young and her mother was adopted. I just started my ancestor research in the summer of 2018 when I joined 23 & Me, so I'm relatively new at this. I'm hoping that with the help of various resources, I can expand learn more about my own lineage and help others with theirs.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or special event. Read the goals and tasks of the project and join if it is a good fit.
Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.
