Simeon Adams Dunn, Jr. was born January 13, 1861, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Simeon Adams and Harriett Atwood Silver Dunn.
His schooling commenced at the age of five years at Farmington, Utah. Later his father and the family moved to Brigham City where he resided until he was twenty-three years of age. In 1874 he was asked to work on the St. George LDS Temple. He left Brigham City and arrived in St. George on January 14, 1875.
On November 3, 1876 he was married to Eunice Emily Harmon in Washington, Utah.
They left Washington May 16, 1889 to find a home in Colorado and arrived in the San Luis Valley July 15 of the same year.
Simeon later moved his family to Manassa, Colorado where he lived until after the death of his wife in 1922. He then went to Moab, Utah where he spent most of his remaining years with his daughter, Etholen Dunn Holyoak. He passed away at the home of his daughter, Eunice Dunn Wilson at Alamosa, Colorado, February 13, 1935 at the age of eighty-four years.
