Gattsay was born about 1798 in South or North Carolina.[1][2][3][4][5]
Prior to marrying John Gray Barrow and coming to Alabama she was married to a Mr. Gainer.[6] Her son Jacob G. Barrow, who married Unity Ann Franklin, daughter of Josiah L. Franklin & Mary Farmer, is buried in the old Brown-Beasley cemetery in Conecuh county, AL. And her son James Madison Barrow who married Lucinda A. Keen, daughter of Josiah H. Keen and Martha D. Caton Keen Pyle, is buried in The old Cohassett/Long Branch Cemetery, in Cohassett, Conecuh county, AL.
She married John G. Barrow on 31 Mar 1824 in Escambia County, Florida[6] and the couple had the following known children:
