Biography

Benjamin was born in 1716.[1] He served as a Private in the New Jersey Militia. He is believed to have first married to Catherine Drake, daughter of Andrew Drake and Hannah Fitz Randolph, and she was mother to his older children. After Catherine's death, he again married to Rachel Thomson-Stelle, widow of John Stelle, in 1757. He was mentioned as son-in-law in the will of her father, James Thomson, Esq. dated 27 November 1760.
