Biography

Service from The Story of a Thousand

Enlisted into Company D of the 105th Ohio Volunteer Infantry on July 28, 1862 as Corporal at age 21. He is noted in the table of Missing or Absent without Leave. [1]

<Cathryn's note: Tourgée gives the last name 2x as Dunton and 1x as Dutton; so I have used Dunton here. I can find no definitive record of the man under either last name either before or after the war. Can anyone help?>
