Dies at Age 80-----Jacob S. Dupew, 80, of 224 West Third street, M ilan, a resident of Milan 47 years, died at 8 o'clock this morning in St. Antho ny's hospital where he had been a patient 11 days.
Ill the past month, he ahd been in failing health the past year with a heart ailment.
Funeral services wi ll be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Larson Funeral Home, Milan, wit h burial in Memorial Park cemetery, Rock Island. The Rev. Ralph E. Lemon of Mi lan Presbyterian church will officiate.
Mr. Dupew was born March 6, 1869, in R edfield, Iowa, a son of Harmus and Evelyn Bruner Dupew. He was reared and educa ted there.
He married Emma A. Utts in Greenfield, Iowa, Feb. 17, 1893, and the y celebrated their goldedn wedding anniversary six years ago. He moved to Milan in 1902 and had resided there since. Mr. Dupew was a tiler by trade. He was a member of Milan Presbyterian church.
Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. William Etzel; a grandson, Leonard Etzel; a granddaughter, Mrs. John Williamso n, all of Rock Island; a brother, William of Menlo, Iowa, and a great-grandson. Two daughters, five sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
