He married Marie Josephe Fontenot, daughter of Joseph Fontenot and Marie Jeanne (Helene) Brignac, about 1772, their oldest son, Jacques, was born in 1773. [2]
Laurent Dupre is listed in the Daughters of American Revolution Database for Patriotic Service with Spanish Governor Bernardo Galvez.
Laurent died in April 1783,[2] in St. Landry Parish,Louisiana. His succession was held on July 8, 1783 at the Opelousas Courthouse.[3]
