Francois Dupre, a son of Pierre Laurent Dupre,fils (1773 - 1861) and Marie Josephe Pitre, the widow Fontenot (1772 - 1850), was born before 21 February 1798 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, New Spain.[1]
In 1850 he was a planter; they were living in St. Landry, Louisiana, with four children at home.[5]
By 1860 they were still living near Opelousas, in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, and he was again counted as a planter. Only their youngest child remained at home with them, but their son Francois, fils was next door.[6]
Anastasie died c.1861 and Francois civilly remarried to Euphrosine Hargroder in December of 1864.[7]
They married in the church the following spring.[8]
Francois died on 3 March 1879 in Plaisance, Louisiana, aged 81.[9]
