Biography

She was the daughter of Olivier Dupuis and Anne Boudrot.

She married Etienne Boudreau, widower, 2 February 1778 at Saint Phillippe, La Prairie, Province de Québec. The parish record identifies the couple as "Etienne Boudro veuf de Marie Boudro fils de feu Anselme Boudro et de Marguerite Godete de cette paroisse d'une part; et Marie Marguerite Dupuy fille d'Olivier Dupuy et de Marie-Anne Boudro aussi de cette paroisse d'autre part." The marriage was officiated "en présence d'Olivier Dupuy, Aman Bro, Pierre Bourjois, Honoré L'andry et plusieurs autres qui ainsi que les épouses ne savent signer."[1] [2]

Marguerite's burial record of 7 December 1822 at Sainte Marguerite de Blairfindie, L'Acadie, Bas-Canada identifies her as "âgée de soixante six ans, épouse d'Etienne Boudreault cultivateur de ce lieu."[3] [4]
