Mary A. Gonzales, 86, a resident of Brighton, Colo., passed away at her home on Tuesday.
She is survived by seven daughters: Lenora Langren and husband Albert of North Platte, Neb., Elisa Ramirez and husband Loretto of Thornton, Colo., Julia Medrana, Helen Martel, Dolores Orozco, and Josephine Gonzales all of Brighton, and Geraldine Centeno and husband Jose of Commerce City, Colo.; five sons: Lorenzo Gonzales and wife Orty, Thomas Gonzales, Gerald Gonzales and wife Diana all of Brighton, Demecio Gonzales and wife Dorothy of EspaƱola, N.M., and Salomon Gonzales and wife Kathy of Westminister, Colo.; 42 grandchildren and 72 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was born on June 4, 1922 in San Miguel County, N.M. to the late Max Milliano and Julianita Duran. She attended school in Serafina, N.M. and moved to Brighton in 1950. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Brighton.
She loved playing bingo and was strong in body and spirit. She loved her children and spoiled her grandchildren. Mary loved a good laugh and kept up with her kids and the times.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Leroy in 1994.
A rosary will be recited on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. in St. Francis Chapel at Gonzales Funerals & Cremations, 2315 Hot Springs Blvd. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Nov. 24 at the Lagunita Catholic Church in Serafina, N.M.
