William Durant was born in 1792 in Boothbay, Maine. His parents were William Durant and Ruth (Burnham) Durant^[1].

He married Hannah Reed on 22 October 1817 in Boothbay^[2]. They had seven children^[1]:

3. Jane, born 30 Jan 1823; married Elbridge Love

Hannah died in 1838, and William married Jane (Boyd) Kennedy, a widow, on 30 October 1839 in Boothbay^[3]. They had no children.

William died on 16 February 1865 in Boothbay^[4] and is buried in Wylie Cemetery^[5].
