John Karl Durbin was the son of John Franklin and Emma F. Nichols Durbin. He was born in California on May 4, 1890.[1][2]
He married Inez Tice, born in Illinois, on November 27, 1913 in Los Angeles County, California. [3]
In 1920, John and Inez were living in Balsam, Minnesota, where John was a farmer. They had two sons, John and Chester, who were both born in Minnesota. [4]
At the time of the 1930 US Census, John and Inez had moved to Ada County, Idaho. John was still farming, and he and Inez were the parents of two sons, John and Chester, and two daughters, Frances and Agnes.[5]
In 1940, John was single and working as a farm laborer in Gem, Idaho.[6]
