Averilla Durbin's birth date is estimated as being after 1722 because her father's will (dated 22 September 1743) states "it is my desire that my son John and my son in law James Prichard should take my Daughter Averila [sic] and my Daughter Mary Either of them as the Children may be Inclined..." This suggests that Averola was under the age of majority (assumed to be 21) when the will was written. [7]
