Biography

Capt. Amasa Dutton was born on November 21, 1783 at Clarendon, Rutland County, Vermont, the son of Amasa Dutton (1745 - 1831) and Sarah Parmalee (1748 - 1805). ^[1]

Amasa is the grandson of Thomas Dutton and Abigail Merriam.

Amasa marries to first, Tamesin Ashcraft on November 14, 1815 at Northfield, Vermont. Tamesin Ashcraft is the daughter of William Ashcraft and Tamesin Cady. Tamesin was born October 12, 1779 at Windham County, Vermont.

Tamesin dies on July 11, 1817 at Royalton, Windsor County, Vermont, USA. Amasa and Tamesin have one child:

1. Harry Dutton born August 2, 1806 at Royalton, Windsor County, Vermont. Harry dies on September 23, 1806 at Royalton, Windsor County, Vermont.
