The 1841 Census shows her as a 15 year old, living with her parents. Thomas and Sarah and two others (possibly servants) at Blackman Street Stone's End, St Mary Newington, Surrey, England[3].
She arrived in South Australia with her husband Alfred Mobbs Cook and two children, on the ship, Caroline in 1855. The Caroline, 967 tons, Captain Ramsay Walker, from Southampton 11th January 1855, arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia 25th April 1855.

She died on August 16, 1892 in Adelaide, South Australia.

THE Friends of the late Mrs. SARAH COOK are respectfully informed that her REMAINS will be Removed from her Son's (Mr. H. Cook's) Residence, Dover-street, Malvern, on Thursday Morning, at 11 o'clock, for Interment in the West-terrace Cemetery.
