Charles Tyler Dutton, 1864-1915, was born in Rochester, New York, the son of Marvin Oscar Dutton and Sarah E. Burrell. In 1889, in Manhattan, New York, he married Bessie Howell Grovesteen. They had two daughters., Natalie and Helen. Charles died in New York City in 1915. [1]

Charles Dutton, 25, and Bessie Grovesteen, 23, were married on 5 June 1889 in Manhattan, New York. Bessie was born in Kinderkamack, New Jersey, the daughter of James H. Grovesteen and Anna Vanderhoef. Charles was born in Rochester, New York, the son of Marvin O. Dutton and Sarah Burrell. [6]
In 1892, the Duttons lived in Brooklyn, Kings, New York. The family included Charles T. Dutton, 27, and his wife, Bessie, 25, who lived with her widowed father, J.H. Grovesteen, 62; two of her brothers, and one servant. [7]

Charles Tyler Dutton, 51, married, died on 3 July 1915 at 114 Morningside Dr., Manhattan, New York. He was born on 17 July 1864 in Rochester, New York, the son of Marvin O. Dutton and Sarah Burrell. Dutton was an exchange house broker. He was buried at Trinity Churchyard Cemetery. [11] (Not listed on FindAGrave)
The house where Charles Dutton died in 1915, presumably his home, was an apartment in a six story, 33 unit building built in 1910, which still stands at 114 Morningside Drive (West Harlem), New York City. Now condos, the most recent sale was in 2021, of a two bed, two bath unit which sold for $660,000. [12]
