John Dutton was born in about 1839 in Eccleston, Lancashire. He was the son of Thomas and Hannah Dutton.

By June 6th 1841, the family was living in Hackley Moss, Eccleston. John's father was a carter.

John's father died in 1847 aged 42, and was buried on 21 Jul 1847 at St Elphin's Church in Warrington, Lancashire. His address was recorded as Battersby Lane.

By March 30th 1851, they were in Crossley Street, Warrington; John was a flax dresser.

Birth

No plausible birth registration in 1837-41 in Prescot district listed on GRO website. He is NOT the John Dutton whose birth was registered in the second quarter of 1839 in Prescot district, mother's maiden name Hunt - that was the son of Richard Dutton and Jane (Hunt) Dutton who was christened on 2 Mar 1828 at Prescot St Mary's.
