Biography

Daniel Dutton was born in about 1796 in Englishcombe, Somerset, England.

Daniel married Lucy, and they had at least five children:

1. Emily Ann Dutton (1819-)
2. John William Dutton (1821-)
3. Judith Maria Dutton (1822-)
4. James Dutton (1825-)
5. Sarah Elizabeth (Dutton) Baker (c1828-1904)

In 1841 Daniel Dutton (age 40-44, Bright Smith) lived in Englishcombe with his wife Lucy (50-54) and three children: Emely (20-24), James (15-19), and Sarah (12).^[1][2]

In 1851 Daniel Dutton (age 56, Smith) lived in Englishcombe with his wife Lucy (68), daughter Emily (30, Dress Maker), and son James (25, Smith).^[3][4]

Daniel Dutton passed away in 1855, aged 59 years. His death was registered in Bath, Somerset in the second quarter of the year.^[5] Daniel Dutton of Od Down, aged 59 years, was buried at St Peter's in Enlishcombe on 3 Jun 1855.^[6][7]

Daniel's widow Lucy Dutton passed away in 1860.
