Biography

Philippe was born about 1702. He was a French emigré.^[1]

He was first Physician to Augusta, Princess Dowager of Wales, mother of George III.

Philippe married Marianne, the daughter of the Reverend Israel Antoine Aufrère and Sarah Amsinq on 25 June 1731.^[2] They had issue:

• Philip Duval D.D, Canon of Westminster and Vicar of Twickenham (died without issue 14 March 1808)
• Jacques ^[3]
• Louis^[4]
• Thomas^[5]
• Marianne^[6]
• George^[7]

In 1741 he was living in Poland Street in London.^[8]

Francis Philip was recorded in the Royal and Imperial Calendar of 1768 in Great Britain.^[9]

Philip was buried on 13 July 1768 in Marylebone, Middlesex, England.^[10]
