Biography
Sophia Duvall was born in Prince George's County, Maryland, the daughter of Elisha Duvall and Rachel (Belt) Duvall. Her father died when she was only a few years of age, and her mother married, secondly John Lucas, born November 14, 1760, in Frederick county, Maryland, the son of William Lucas and Sarah (Higgens)
On June 11, 1808, in Maryland, Sophia married James Marriott, born, born circa 1776, in Anne Arundel, Maryland. Children of Sophia and James are:
