So your saying Frances born in 1838 is the son of Frances born 1803 and someone just attached Frances 1838 as a brother instead of as a son to Frances 1803? And they both died in the same year? With out sources on either, hard to tell anyone apart.

Dyer-10733 and Dyer-10498 do not represent the same person because: You are trying to merge with the wrong Francis Dyer. The one you are trying to merge with is the father who was born 23 FEB 1803 • Morgan, Kentucky, and died 2 AUG 1899 • Lewis, Kentucky. The 1850 United States Federal Census shows his birth as 1803. It also shows his spouse and children. If you notice he did have a son also named Francis. I copied the following.

Francis Dyer 47 Elizabeth Dyer 46 Hiram C Dyer 20 Joel Dyer 18 John Dyer 16 Minerva Dyer 13 Francis M Dyer 10 Tobias Dyer 9 William Dyer 69 Their births and deaths are different along with the census proves this. I do have his son Francis Marion Dyer BIRTH 1838 • Morgan, Kentucky, DEATH 2 AUG 1899 • Lewis, Kentucky. PLEASE DON'T MERGE THESE FRANCIS DYER'S they are two different people. Please merge the son born 1838. Thanks Rhonda
