Biography

Linda was born on June 6, 1895 at Huntsville in Scott County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Joel C. Dyer and Rebecca ( Sexton ) Dyer . She married Sylvester Q. Jeffers on July 12, 1914 at Huntsville in Scott County. She passed away on October 12, 1976 at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida, Scott County.

Linda Dyer Jeffers, 81, of Rt. 1 Huntsville, passed away in the Scott County Hospital Tuesday morning October 12. She was the daughter of the late Joel Dyer and the late Rebecca Ann Sexton Dyer, a member of the Bridges Creek Baptist Church. Survivors: Husband: Sylvester Jeffers Sr. of Rt. 1 Huntsville, Son: Sylvester Jeffers Jr. of Huntsville, Daughter: Mrs. Ruth Lawson of Dayton, Ohio, Granddaughter: Ondra Willman of Willmington, Ohio. Two great grandchildren: Chris Willman and Aimee Willman both of Willmington. Funeral services will be conducted from the West Funeral Home Chapel 10:30 a.m. Thursday October 14, with Rev. Milford Cecil officiating. Burial in the Cook Cemetery. West Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (Source: The Scott County News, 14 Oct 1976, p6)
