Biography

Peter Dyer, son of Peter, was baptized Nov. 10, 1754 in Braintree, Massachusetts.[1]

Peter probably was the father of Peter (b about 1777), the son of Hannah Hayden. Hannah never married.[1]

He married his first wife, Thankful Thayer, on June 29, 1777. She was a daughter of Zachariah and Lydia (Pray) Thayer, born May 11, 1756. She died on February 12, 1795, reportedly age 36 (sic), and is buried in Dyer Hill Cemetery in Braintree.[1]

Peter Dyer and Eunice Penniman, both of Braintree, were married in April 1797 at Roxbury, Massachusetts. Eunice was a daughter of Ezra and Eunice (Thayer) Penniman, born Aug. 28, 1762. Eunice Dyer died Feb. 28, 1838 at age 75 and is buried in Dyer Hill Cemetery in Braintree.[1]

He died Jul. 2, 1848 at age 94, and is buried in Dyer Hill Cemetery in Braintree.[1]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Peter by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Peter:

Dyer-10596 and Dyer-8784 appear to represent the same person because: See: https://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=spragueged&id=I13972

Correct birth date should probably be before BEF 10 NOV 1754 (which was date of baptism)
