Elizabeth Marchant Dyer (married name Haines) was born on 22 July 1890 in Lillimur, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Eliza Jane (Jolly) Dyer and Charles Dyer.^[1]

She married John Haines on 17 September 1913 in Kaniva, Victoria.^[2] Their children were:^[3]
