Biography
Agnes was born on 5 April 1840 in Perth, Western Australia.[1] She is the daughter of Walkinshaw Cowan and Elizabeth Dyer.
She was born before her parents married and so was baptised as Dyer.

COWAN—On October 24 at her residence, Aberdeen-street, Albany, Agnes, eldest daughter of the late Walkinshaw Cowan, R.M, of York Aged 61. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing brothers, sisters and friends.[2]

Mark Dorney
Cowan-5735 and Dyer-14587 appear to represent the same person because: Baptised as Dyer as born prior to parents marriage, took on Cowan as surname in later life.
