Reuben M Dyer son of Anthony Dyer and Rebecca Douglas was born ca December 5, 1843[1] in Sebago, Cumberland, Maine. His father died when he was 7 years old.
At age 16, he was in his mother's home in Sebago, Cumberland, Maine along with his siblings, Nancy, Abigail, and Olive[2]
He was a soldier in the Civil War at age 18, on the Union side enlisting on September 10, 1862, and discharged, July 11, 1865. He served in Company K, 25th Maine Infantry.[3][4]
He married Lizzie Emery (1847-1865)
His wife Lizzie passed away in 1865 in Sebago, Maine, at the age of 18.
Reuben married a second time to Rachel F Humphrey on December 10, 1873 in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.[5] They had no children.
In 1873 Reuben (age about 29) was employed as an Engineer.
Reuben was an Engineer in 1889 living in Boston, Massachusetts.[6]
They lived in Sebago, Cumberland, Maine in 1900, where he was a Carpenter.[1]
He was a Building Carpenter in 1910 in Sebago, Cumberland, Maine.[7]
He died October 16, 1910 in Sebago, Cumberland, Maine.[8]
