Biography

Alphonse George Dyer was born at Lowell, MA on July 14, 1890. ^{[1] [2]} He was a son of Joseph S. Dyer and Albina Gervais.

1900 US Census Massachusetts Middlesex Lowell Ward 2 ED 778 Sheet 8A Lines 13-16: Joseph Dyer, 52 harness maker; wife, ALbina Dyer (Gervais), 32 hoisery worker; Alphonso Dyer, 11 at school; Anthony Caff, 32 lodger, salesman dry goods. ^[3] Census date: June 8, 1900.

Alphonse George Dyer married Marie Alma Labossiere at Holyoke, MA on July 23, 1912. ^{[4] [5]} She was the third child of eight and the third of seven daughters of Joseph Henry Melville Labossière and Marie Elisa Charron.

Sometime after their marriage, they moved back to Canada to St-Jean, Quebec. Marie Alma Labossiere passed away at St-Jean on Oct. 31, 1918 and she was buried there two days later. She was only 28 years old.

Alphonse Dyer married again at Mont Saint-Gregoire to Therese Lalanne on Aug. 28, 1922. She was a daughter of Joseph Lalanne and Leonide Larocque.

Alphonse Dyer passed away at Saint-Jean, Quebec on Jan. 9, 1952. He was 61 years old.
