Biography

In the 1851 census James (age 7 Mo) was the son of David Dyer in Dodderhill, Worcestershire, England.^[1]

In the 1881 census James (age 28), Police Constable, was the lodger of Thomas Hatton in Watling Street Terrace, Wilnecote, Warwickshire, England.^[2]

James (age 39) was buried on 27 July 1890 in Keresley, Warwickshire, England.^[3][4]

in the baptism of daughter Emily Rebecca, James was noted as Police Officer.

Research Notes

James died before the 1891 census and Bertram was born in the first quarter of that year. As Bertrams birth was registered in Aston it is likely that the death of James was regestered there - I have added this - however that would mean that he was born around 1852. Changed to this but note it was ORIGINALLY ENTERED AS 1867 - no birth location known. Found a census where he was a policeman and worked back - born in Worcestershire
