Biography
Frederick William Dyer was born in 1889 in Exeter, Devon, England to William Dyer and Ellen (Gale) Dyer. His birth was registered in Exeter in the last quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Gale.[1]
In 1891 Frederick W Dyer (age 1) lived in Exeter with his father William (25, Baker), mother Ellen (27), and two servants: James Coombes (15, Baker) and Thomas Darch (21, Baker).[2]
Frederick's father passed away in 1893, and his mother married Christopher Wilson in 1899.
In 1901 Frederick "Wilson" (age 11) was a visitor in Stamford All Saints withSaint Peter, Lincolnshire in the household of John Hyde. His mother Ellen Wilson (58[~38]) and two sisters - Elsie May (9) and Violet Irene (0) - were also visiting, as was his uncle Charlie Gale (22).[3]
Possible Match: In 1911 Fred Dyer (age 22) was with the Royal Navy At Sea And In Ports Abroad, on the ship Cornwallis.[4]
