Sir Thomas Dyke: 1s. Thomas, of Waldram, Sussex, equitis. Christ Church, matric. 1 June, 1666, aged 16; of the Middle Temple 1667, created a baronet 3 March, 1676-7, M. P. Sussex 1685-7, East Grinstead 1689-98, died 31 Oct., 1706. See Foster's Inns of Court Reg.

Created (1st) baronet 3 Mar 1676/7. He was an M.P. for Sussex between 1685-7 & for East Grinstead between 1689-98. He was the Commissioner of the Public Accounts in 1696.

20 May 1706: he writes his will, TD Barronett of Horeham, Waldron, mentioning: wife Philadelphia (executrix); daughters: Philadelphia & Elizabeth Dyke; son Thomas Dyke (<21); sisters: Elizabeth, Dorothy & Bridget Dyke; friends: John Tooke, Henry Campion & Thomas Masters Esq

31 Oct 1706: he died at Horeham, Waldron

10 Nov 1706: burial at Waldron: "ye Right worshipfull Sir Thomas of Horham Baronet"

29 Nov 1706: his will is proved at the PPC London; executrix: Philadelphia Dyke

The whole Dyke estate On 4 January 1677 a settlement was made on the marriage of Thomas Dyke of Horeham in Waldron, esq (son of Thomas Dyke of Horeham, kt, deceased and Katherine Dyke) and Philadelphia, eldest daughter of Thomas Nutt, kt, deceased and Philadelphia Nutt. The following property was conveyed in trust to Robert Parker, bt, Samuel Boys, esq, John Fuller, esq and Thomas Bromfield, esq

Sir Thomas Nutt's other daughter, Katherine, married Anthony Bramston, esq. On 8 November 1683 they settled her estate on themselves for life with remainder to their son John Bramston. It was described as follows
