Orville was born in 1904. He was the son of James Dykes and Ethel Huners. Orville was listed on his father's 1930 census as "widowed". He moved back into his father's home, along with his infant son, Harold.
He passed away in 1972. He was buried at Rose Hill Cemetery and Memorial Park in Oklahoma, United States.
