Jabez was the son of Robert Dyment and Margaret Murray, born in Canada about 1889. He could be the son listed as Arthur in the 1891 census, age 1.
In 1910, Jabez was single and living with his parents in Concord Ward 4, Merrimack, New Hampshire. At the time of registration for WW1, he had a wife and one son and was working for Perry Bros. He was still living in New Hampshire in 1920, when he was married to Evelyn with a son Howard. He and Evelyn had a second son Willison in 1924. Evelyn died in childbirth in 1926.
When he married again in 1927, he was a cook, and Elizabeth a waitress. In 1930, Jabez was living with his second wife Elizabeth, and sons Howard (age 18), and Willison (age 6). Another son, Radford, was raised by his Perry relatives.
Jabez was a chef. When he applied for American citizenship, he was 5'10", with light hair and gray eyes.
