John was born about 1540. John Dyment ... He passed away about 1600.[1]
John is probably recorded as Johannes at this time, and the last name would be more like Deiman.
The family trees I have seen are unsourced, relying on One World Tree, "Plantagenet Descent" by David A. Blocher, and a Yeo website called Ourgroves, none of which give any sources, at least for this couple. Blocher connects this family to the Plantagenet royal line by saying that John was the son of Ralph Dunham/Denham and Elizebeth Dunham/Denham (born Wentworth) from Nottinghamshire. Later research has shown that work on the Dunham family, perhaps originating with the Dunham Genealogy by Isaac Watson Dunham (Hartford, 1907), were unfortunately based on fraudulent materials.
Trees on Ancestry that have John married to Margaret Yeo say he married her in his 70s, and on some trees, that he died before their marriage. It seems obvious that this part of the tree needs more work.
