== Biography == Massachusetts Marriage Registration, Pittsfield 1905 pg 1 line 16, Marriage of her daughter Carrie E. Houghtaling; her name is shown as "Sarah E. Dymond."
The US Censuses for 1870 and 1880 have her listed as Elizabeth. She died in 1884, eight days after the birth of her second daughter. Her first daughter, Carrie was 2 yrs old at the time. Libbia's marriage license is signed "Libbia" with no middle initial. Her grave marker provided by her husband is engraved "Libbie" again with no initial. It is possible that her middle name was Sarah, but not likely that Sarah was her first name. It is more likely that Carrie wished her mother's name was "Sarah Elizabeth" and she was making the names "more proper." This was a "shot gun wedding", Carrie's daughter Gladys being born only 32 days after the wedding.
Marriage License, Names are listed as "Lysander Houghtaling" and "Libbia Dymond."
US Censuses 1870 (Stephentown, August 9, 1870, pg 29, index # 402), & 1880 (Stephentown , June 18, 1880. pg 27, index #602).
